Friday Night Music: Chance of Rain

Chance Of Rain is the newest pop group to enter the Boston music scene. The band consists of Berklee College Of Music students Mi Lan Hoang, Zo Saldana, Aidan Siliceo-Roman, Peyton Griffin and Abby Volta. Chance of Rain stands out from other pop groups by pulling influence from Jazz and Alternative Rock. Mixing relatable lyrics with catchy riffs, Chance Of Rain tells stories about adolescence, life and love. Members take influence from artists such as Laufey, The Cardigans and Mother Mother.

Recently Chance Of Rain has played on campus at Berklee and at venues such as Midway Cafe and BeatRoot. Currently the band is working on their first single, “Prayer To Venus”. Telling the story of young love with dreamy guitars, jazzy undertones and a pop rock groove “Prayer To Venus” perfectly encapsulates the band’s sound.

We'll be asking questions covering the gamut of the singer's career, ranging from her country beginnings on Debut all the way to Midnights. Get ready for a starlit evening filled with Taylor-themed drinks, a plethora of beads for making friendship bracelets (or you can bring your own to trade), and prizes!

So, assemble your squad and head swiftly to checkout. You can sign up as a team with your friends or, for those of you who want to make some new Taylor-loving friends, at checkout, you'll see an option to be added to a group with some other free agents.

Doors open and friendship bracelet making begins at 6:30 PM.

Friday Night Music: Connie May

A night of Pop/RnB originals and covers

Connie May is a singer/ songwriter who is well-known for her vibrant energy, powerful vocals, and show-stopping performances. Writing in the genre of Pop/Rnb, May’s intimate originals bring her story to the stage. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada, she’s now based in Boston MA, attending the Berklee College of Music, the leading contemporary music school in the world. The beginning of 2023 kicked off her first tour, which took place alongside the East Coast of Canada. She has also received first place in Junior Musical Theatre at the 2019 Nova Scotia Provincial Music Festival, multiple first-place titles in the Kiwanis Music Festival, and has directed her own show featuring youth performers with disabilities for the Halifax Fringe Festival.
